Built between 1900 and 1908, the C Class was the SE&CR’s answer to the growing need for a standardised freight locomotive design. It proved extremely successful with a total of 109 being built, and many survived into the 1960s on mainline duties with BR. This model depicts running number 689 in South Eastern & Chatham Railway WW1 Dark Grey livery.
Constructed from a multitude of high-fidelity parts and decorated with an exquisite paint finish, the Graham Farish C Class has an impressive technical specification to match, employing a powerful coreless motor to drive the wheels. The tender houses a speaker and Next18 DCC decoder socket which is pre-fitted with a top of the range Zimo DCC Sound Decoder in this SOUND FITTED model, so you can enjoy realistic sound effects straight from the box on both Analogue and DCC.
