The autoballasters are decorated in Network Rail livery, where the previous blue Railtrack paintwork had been painted over in yellow with black Network Rail branding. The newly painted areas have a pristine finish, which stands out when compared to the weathering on the unchanged sections.
Each model has a curved top and is assembled from hundreds of components that have been decorated with multiple paint and print applications. This has allowed for a high level of detail while also remaining durable, making the models suitable for both collectors who would like to put them on display and modellers who wish to run them on a layout.
